I’m Suneet Khurana, the founder of Pioneer Clinical Research Career Coaching, and a passionate advocate for empowering healthcare professionals to thrive in Canada’s clinical research industry.

My journey began in India, where I earned my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and later taught Physiology to medical students — an experience that ignited my passion for mentorship and helped shape my ability to simplify complex ideas into meaningful, actionable knowledge.

I practiced Family Medicine and General Medicine for over five years across private and public hospitals before immigrating to Canada in 2005. Along the way, I earned my Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and made a purposeful transition into Clinical Research — a field where I could combine my medical knowledge, research aptitude, and commitment to patient care.

Since 2008, I’ve worked in both Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs, gaining over 15 years of experience across 70+ studies in diverse therapeutic areas. From study startup to site closeout, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how clinical trials function, how each role fits into the bigger picture, and what it takes to build a stable, successful career in this industry.

My career coaching practice began informally when I noticed newcomers — like myself — struggling to navigate the system. I was often approached by professionals seeking direction, and I realized just how underserved this group was. With no targeted guidance or insider insights, many were left feeling discouraged. That gap — and my lived experience of overcoming those same challenges — inspired me to create Pioneer Clinical Research Career Coaching.
My mission is to guide immigrants, healthcare professionals, and students into the world of clinical research by offering practical, personalized career strategies. I help my clients identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and position themselves effectively in this competitive space.
